What we actually know about red light and hair
No marketing. Where the numbers come from, what they measured, and where the limits are.
Two wavelengths, one job
Human vision stops somewhere around 700 nanometres. 660 nm is a deep red you can still see. 940 nm sits well past the edge — invisible near-infrared that reaches deeper into tissue. RUNE ONE runs both.
What happens inside the cell
Mitochondria are the cell's power plants. They carry an enzyme, cytochrome c oxidase, that absorbs red and near-infrared light. The result is more ATP — the energy a cell runs on. In a hair follicle that means a longer growth phase and a thicker strand.
Why starting early matters
Light feeds a follicle that is still alive. That's why the best time is while your hair is thinning — that's when the most follicles are still there to work with. On scalp that has been bare for years, there is no follicle left to reach.

How much hair came back
These studies tested red light therapy as a method, not the RUNE ONE specifically. The devices used differ in wavelength, output and diode count. RUNE ONE is not a medical device and does not replace medical care — if you are being treated for a scalp condition, speak to your dermatologist first.
